Member Levels
When you sign up to IQPS online you will join as an Affiliate member. If you would like to be considered for Member category once you have joined, then please forward a copy of your CV, job description and any other supporting documentation via email to office@iqps.org and further assessment will take place for Member category.
Affiliate: if you work as an office professional you can join IQPS at the Affiliate level. Following five years continuous membership, you can apply for Member level. If you are continuing your office professional development, and gain further qualifications, you can then apply for Member level. Plus, if certification is gained for three consecutive years in the IQPS CPD Scheme, Affiliate members are upgraded to Member status. Designatory letters are: AffIQPS
Member: if you have a set of qualifications and/or experience to match our criteria for full membership you will come in at Member level. Designatory letters will be: MIQPS
Lecturer: if you teach subjects that would lead to a student becoming an office professional you would come in at Lecturer level. Designatory letters will be: LIQPS
Fellow: fellowships are awarded in recognition of outstanding services to the Institute. Designatory letters will be: FIQPS.
Student: student membership is awarded to students undertaking a relevant course that will lead them to employment as an office professional. No designatory letters are awarded.
Office Professionals who join a local network but not the national association are welcome, but have none of the benefits of national membership. This is Subscriber level and the quarterly magazine is not received nor are member rates offered for national events.
All membership applications are assessed to take account of business related qualifications and experience. The Council of the Institute reserves the right to decide the category of membership offered and withhold the reason for any decision in connection with this application.
