OCR:
Probably one of the best known awarding bodies offering
qualifications suitable for office professionals, here are some examples
of what OCR offers:
- Certificate or Diploma in Text Processing which proves your ability to produce a wide range of business documents to a standard which is considered acceptable by employers
- Certificate in Administration � a traditional theoretical and practical based qualification which enables you to demonstrate your skills at working autonomously from junior level through to senior level to carry out administrative tasks
- CLAIT - a popular IT qualification which allows you to choose from a range of the software available to suit your individual needs. The levels range from 1 - aimed at the beginner - through to 3, which is suitable for students who are already confident and proficient IT users

Goal:
Offers qualifications for those working towards an
office professional role. You can follow the group awards where you can
study subjects such as Business Administration, Meetings, Text
Production (which includes audio transcription) and Business Practice.

Pitman:
Qualifications (which now form part of City & Guilds)
range from basic single subjects, such as book-keeping or word
processing to the group awards, eg. Executive PA Diploma.

AMSPAR:
The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice
Managers, Administrators and Receptionists. This awarding body offers
qualifications aimed at those who wish to specialise in the medical
environment. You can study for a single subject in medical terminology
or work towards the Diploma.

ILEX:
This awarding body offers qualifications for those
wishing to study for a career in the legal environment, covering courses
such as ILEX Legal Secretaries Certificate and Legal Secretaries Diploma.
